Refill the Machine, Then Brew Into an Empty Container

To make coffee in Nomad Drive, refill a Coffee Machine with a Coffee Pack, use an empty Coffee Pot or Mug, then press the machine's red button to brew. Drinking coffee quenches thirst, restores a little health and temporarily improves movement speed and vehicle-pushing strength.

02

Gather Your Coffee Gear

The Brew a Fresh Coffee objective appears when you pick up a coffee pack or a coffee machine. Its checklist asks you to find the pack, find the machine, refill the machine and brew. Use that checklist to keep track of your next action while collecting the equipment.

Keep a Coffee Pot or Mug with the machine as your receiving container. Coffee Machines, Coffee Pots and Mugs turn up along the road, so collect the pieces as you travel. Before starting a brew, check that the container you intend to use is empty.

A Coffee Pot holds 1 L, while a Mug holds 0.4 L. Both can hold different liquids, so check their contents before using them for coffee. Keeping your coffee containers together makes the setup easier to manage at a roadside stop.

How to Complete Brew a Fresh Coffee

  1. Pick up a Coffee Pack to collect the ingredient required by Brew a Fresh Coffee. Picking up the pack can also make the objective appear.
  2. Pick up a Coffee Machine to collect the appliance required by the objective. Keep it with your coffee supplies so the brewing setup is easy to reach.
  3. Use an empty Coffee Pot or Mug as the receiving container for your brew. The container needs to be empty before it can receive the coffee.
  4. Refill the Coffee Machine with the Coffee Pack. This prepares the machine for the brewing action that follows the refill task.
  5. Press the red button on the Coffee Machine to brew the coffee. Refilling the machine and starting the brew are separate actions.
04

If the Machine Does Nothing

Check the receiving Coffee Pot or Mug first: it must be empty. Different liquids do not mix, so a container already holding another drink cannot receive coffee. Choose an empty container before trying the brew again.

Check the refill task next. The machine needs to be refilled with a coffee packet before you press its red button. If you have only collected the pack and machine, continue through the refill and brewing actions on the objective checklist.

Coffee, Water and Sleeping Have Different Uses

OptionWhat It Does
Drink brewed coffeeA litre quenches thirst like water and restores 10 health. Coffee also temporarily improves movement speed and vehicle-pushing strength.
Drink plain waterA litre of water fills thirst from empty. It is a straightforward choice when hydration is your immediate need.
Sleep during a stopSleeping slows hunger and thirst consumption. Energy does not run down on its own, so you do not need coffee to stay awake.

Use coffee when you want hydration together with its temporary activity benefits. A sip before pushing a vehicle lets you put the strength boost to work during the job. Keep sipping if you want to maintain the effect while you continue.

Sleep is useful when you want to slow hunger and thirst consumption during a rest. Coffee is useful when you want its temporary movement and pushing benefits while active. Choose between them according to what you are about to do, and keep drinking water available for ordinary thirst.

Keep the Coffee Setup Ready for the Road

Use Place and Confirm Placement when storing your coffee equipment in the RV. Items placed on a vehicle stay put while you drive. Keep the setup accessible so you can reach the machine and check the receiving container at your next stop.
